Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of the Precision Calabasas Concrete website and any estimate, quote or work you ask us for. When you browse the site, call us, send the contact form or book a job, you agree to these terms, so please read them before you do.
If you sign a written contract with us for a job, that contract governs the job. Where the contract and these terms disagree, the contract wins.
What we do
Precision Calabasas Concrete is a concrete contractor in Calabasas, CA. We build driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, pool decks, garage floors, footings, slab foundations and retaining walls, and we also do stamped and decorative concrete, concrete cutting and foundation raising. You'll find the full list on our home page, and you can read more about how we work on our About page.
The service pages on this site explain the work in general terms. Your job is set by your written estimate or contract, which lists what we'll do at your property and what we won't.
Estimates and pricing
We come out to your property to give you a free estimate, and there's no pressure to book. An estimate is our best price for the job we can see and measure that day. It's good for the period written on it.
Concrete work often hides its problems until the old slab is out. If we find soft or wet ground under it, buried debris, roots, old footings or utility lines, or a drainage problem we couldn't see, the work and the price can change. We'll stop, show you what we found and agree a change with you in writing before we go on, unless something has to be made safe right away.
A price on our website or in a phone call is general information. Your price is the one in your written estimate or contract.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
We give you a start date when you book, and we work hard to keep it. Concrete can't be poured in rain or in every kind of heat, and it needs time to cure, which means the wait while it hardens before you walk or drive on it, so weather, supply deliveries and inspections can move the schedule. We'll tell you as soon as we know about a delay, and we aren't responsible for delays we can't control.
If you need to cancel or move your job, call us at (747) 269-3817 as early as you can. Once we've ordered materials, booked a pour or started digging out, you may owe us for the materials and work already done, and your contract will say how that's handled.
Please keep the work area clear and give us access on the scheduled days. If we can't get to the site, we may have to reschedule, and any added cost from that will be discussed with you first.
Payment
Your estimate or contract sets the payment schedule, including any deposit and when the balance is due. Payment is due on the dates written there.
If a payment is late, we can pause work until it's made. California law lets contractors protect their right to be paid for work on a property, and we may use those rights if a balance stays unpaid.
Warranty and what concrete does
We want you happy with the job, and if something isn't right, call us so we can look at it. Any written warranty for your job is the one in your contract, and it's the only warranty we give. The website doesn't create one.
Concrete is a natural material, and some things come with it. Hairline cracks can show up even on a well-built slab, which is why we cut control joints, grooves that give the slab a planned place to crack. Color, texture and stamped patterns vary from batch to batch and won't match older concrete exactly. Those are normal traits of concrete, not defects.
We aren't responsible for damage from things outside our work, such as heavy loads the slab wasn't built for, using it before it has cured, de-icing salts or harsh chemicals, tree roots, earth movement, flooding, or changes someone else makes to the grading or drainage later.
Limitation of liability
To the extent California law allows, our total responsibility for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We aren't responsible for indirect losses, such as lost use of your property, lost income or inconvenience.
The information on this website is general and is offered as is. It isn't professional advice for your property, and we don't promise it's complete or current. Links to other sites are there for your convenience, and we don't control what's on them.
Settling a disagreement
If you're unhappy with something, call us first, because most problems get fixed fastest when we can come out and look at them together. If we can't work it out, we're both willing to try mediation before going to court.
These terms and any job we do are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any court case about them will be heard in the courts of Los Angeles County, California, unless the law requires otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time and post the new version on this page. The terms in effect when you sign your contract are the ones that apply to your job.
