Concrete work from someone who learned it on the crew

We're based in Calabasas and fully licensed and insured. Homeowners call us for driveways, patios, steps and walls, property owners call us for slabs and foundations, and we're best known for taking the time to explain a job before we pour it. Satisfaction guaranteed on every job. There's more about who we are and how we work.

About our business

I learned concrete as a helper on a small crew, hauling, setting forms and cleaning tools next to people who'd done it for years. I started Precision Calabasas Concrete in 2020, so we've been at this 6 years now.

Concrete contractor services in Calabasas, CA

Precision Calabasas Concrete is a concrete contractor in Calabasas with 16 services, from flatwork like driveways, patios and walks to walls, steps and foundations. The price mostly comes down to the size and thickness of the slab, how much old concrete we tear out, how much digging and base work the ground needs, and the finish, since a plain finish costs less than stamped or colored work. The schedule turns on whether your city wants a permit or plan review, how much prep the ground needs, and curing, the wait before you walk or drive on new concrete while it gains strength. I come out, look at the job and write you a free estimate.

  1. A wide exposed-aggregate concrete driveway leads to a large house and garage.

    Concrete driveway building

We dig out the old driveway, pack a solid base and pour a new one sized for your cars, with joints cut so cracks follow lines we chose.

  2. Freshly finished concrete patio with large scored panels beside a gray-sided house and fenced yard.

    Concrete patio construction

Want a place for a table and grill out back? We pour concrete patios on a packed base, sloped so rainwater runs away from your house.

  3. Decorative concrete driveway with dark stamped bands curving across a light gray surface beneath leafy trees.

    Stamped concrete services

Stamped concrete is a regular pour pressed with a pattern while it's wet, so it looks like stone, brick or tile on a patio or walk.

  4. Curved concrete sidewalk wraps around landscaped shrubs in front of a brick house and garage.

    Concrete sidewalk building

We build front walks and side paths on a packed base with a broom finish, a light brushed texture that gives your shoes grip when it's wet.

  5. A large gray concrete patio beside a house has a black kettle grill, picnic table, and Adirondack chairs.

    Garage floor concrete

Cracked, sunken or chipping garage floor? We break out the old slab, rework the ground under it and pour a new floor that sits flat.

  6. Decorative concrete driveway with broad gray panels and dark stamped bands leading to a small blue house beneath leafy trees.

    Decorative concrete

Decorative concrete covers color, stained finishes, exposed aggregate and borders, for homeowners who want a driveway, patio or walk that looks finished instead of plain gray.

  7. Low concrete retaining wall edging a landscaped garden bed beside a sidewalk and lawn.

    Concrete retaining walls

We build concrete retaining walls with steel inside and drainage behind them, so they hold back soil on a sloped yard and water doesn't build up behind.

  8. A timber pavilion shelters wicker seating and a coffee table on a brick patio surrounded by flower beds.

    Concrete floor installation

What's a concrete floor installation? It's an interior slab for a workshop, studio, storage room or addition, poured level and finished for flooring or use as is.

  9. Concrete pool deck surrounds a turquoise swimming pool beneath a screened enclosure, with planted beds along the edge.

    Concrete pool decks

We pour pool decks around new and existing pools, with a finish that's easier on bare feet and a slope that sends splash water toward the drains.

  10. Wide concrete steps lead to a covered porch, set above a curved stone retaining wall and flower beds.

    Concrete steps construction

Loose or crumbling front steps get torn out and rebuilt with steel inside and even step heights, so every step feels the same under your feet.

  11. Broad stone steps lead to an arched front door, with a paved walkway, lawn, and landscaped beds.

    Slab foundation building

We form, set steel and pour slab foundations for new homes, ADUs, garages and additions, built to the plans your city approved.

  12. A covered outdoor dining area with white furniture and an outdoor kitchen sits beside a swimming pool.

    Foundation installation

For property owners building or adding on, we install foundations, including perimeter walls and footings, laid out to your engineer's plans so framing starts on level concrete.

  13. Stamped concrete patio with a warm stone pattern, wicker dining set and large shade umbrella beside a landscaped yard.

    Concrete parking lot building

Do you manage a small lot for a shop, office or apartment building? We pour concrete parking lots with a deep base and planned drainage for daily traffic.

  14. Gray stamped-concrete patio curves around a circular stone fire pit beside a white house and landscaped garden.

    Concrete footings

Footings are the concrete pads and strips that carry a load down into the ground, and we dig and pour them for decks, patio covers, walls and additions.

  15. Brown stamped-concrete walkway with irregular stone-like joints curves around a house, bordered by mulch and lawn.

    Foundation raising

When a slab or foundation has sunk and doors stick or floors slope, we find out why it moved, then raise and support it back toward level.

  16. Pale rectangular stamped-concrete pool deck beneath a screened patio roof, overlooking a pond and homes.

    Concrete cutting

We saw-cut concrete for new doorways, plumbing trenches, slab removal and clean edges, with water on the blade to keep the dust down.

Why people hire us for their concrete

I'd rather answer one more question before we start than leave you guessing afterward, so you know what you're paying for before any work begins. When you're ready, call (747) 269-3817 or send us the contact form.

  • The person who writes your estimate is there for the pour

I come out myself to look at the job and write the estimate, and I'm on site with our crew when the work gets done. What we talked about in your driveway is what gets built.

  • We check permits with your city before we start

In California, a job that needs a building permit or runs $1,000 or more in labor and materials has to be done by a contractor licensed by the state licensing board, so ask anyone you hire. Whether your job needs a permit is up to the city or county, so we check with the office that covers your address and work through what they ask for with you.

  • Straight talk about cracks

We'll tell you up front that concrete usually cracks a little as it dries and the ground moves. We cut control joints, shallow grooves in the surface, so those cracks run in straight lines we picked instead of across the middle of your patio.

What goes under the concrete matters most

Most concrete that gives out early went wrong underneath. When a crew rakes the dirt level instead of digging out and packing a real base, the slab settles with the dirt, and when nobody checks where the water runs, you end up with a patio that tips toward your house. We dig down to firm ground, pack the subgrade, the soil the slab sits on, set the forms for slope and put in rebar, the steel bars that hold the slab together, where the job calls for it.

That's the part you can't see on day one, and it's usually the first thing people want to cut when the budget gets tight. I'll push back on that, because I'd rather you get a plain broom finish over a solid base than a fancy finish over loose dirt, since you can dress up good concrete later but a bad base means tearing it out. We also try to pour in the cooler part of the day, because concrete that dries too fast in midday heat can leave a weak, dusty top, and we'll tell you how long to stay off it while it cures.
